About Us

Oceana Kingston opened it's doors to the public in April 2003 - but the beautiful listed building that Oceana is set in is steeped in history.

The Granada Theatre was born in November 1939. It was the first picture theatre in Europe to boast new High Fidelity sound equipment. The theatre was designed by architect George Coles to seat 2,000, and no expense was spared on an interior designed in Italian renaissance style. In 1973 the Granada was converted into three cimemas. There was more change to come in 1987 when the Granada was closed for rebuilding as Options - an entertainment complex incorporating a nightclub, restaurant and three cinemas.

Luminar Lesiure then converted the Options site into a very exciting complex of bars, food area and nightclubs - culminating in the Grand Opening of Oceana Kingston - a breath-taking £8.5m entertainment venue.

Since opening Oceana has established itself as one of the leading and multi-award winning late night entertainment venues in the country, and has hosted some of the biggest acts in the music industry!
